Yeah, go for it! It takes a bit of planning and quite a while to make - but I didn't actually draw it out first. Just had copious notes of what to write! Then I positioned as I went along. But I warn you, start early....!

The Lego was really fun, but the chillis did take a bit of practise! The threads are Madeira machine embroidery threads which have a lovely sheen to them.

Know what you mean about the Union Jack - hijacked by racists and derided as an over-nationalistic symbol.
But I think in crafts it isn't seen as such. Flags - Yes! Matbe T-Shirts. But a purse or a cushion are in vogue at the moment.
